I am Melanie Perkins. My credentials include a Masters Degree from University of South Carolina and Certificate of Clinical Competence.
My clients are adults, specifically 16 years and above.
I have worked in various settings from home health to hospital inpatient and outpatient. I currently work in outpatient and private practice setting.
In March 2020 I received my Sixth ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE). This award represents my commitment to maintaining best practices in area of Speech Language Voice & Swallowing treatment.
My unique skill set includes stroboscopy, FEES fiberscopic eval of swallow, Voice therapy-LSVT and “Speak Out” for Parkinsons disease. My skills in swallow treatment include a “hands on technique called “Myofascial Release” plus specialized training for head and neck cancer.
